The initial betting odds of Brandon Moreno and Brandon Royval are now here, and the numbers are what many would expect them to be. According to DraftKings, Moreno is the favorite in the fight, opening the betting odds with a -250 figure. Meanwhile, Royval, who recently failed in his title shot, was welcomed as an underdog in the bout at +205.

The predictions from the oddsmakers are not surprising as Moreno defeated Royval before when they first met in November 2020 at UFC 255, where the former champ made a first-round TKO win. In addition to that, Royval received a recent loss from current flyweight champ Alexandre Pantoja when he challenged him for his title at UFC 296.

Meanwhile, Moreno, despite losing to Pantoja last July, boasts a pleasing record as a former champ of the division. As a veteran in the promotion, “The Assassin Baby” has also faced big names in the class weight before, including Deiveson Figueiredo and Sergio Pettis.

The fight between the two was arranged after Amir Albazi withdrew from due to an injury. UFC then announced Royval stepped in to take Albazi’s place despite making a loss in his last fight. With the two set to be the UFC Fight Night headliner on February 24 in Mexico City, Royval will get his chance to avenge his earlier loss to the opponent. However, as the oddsmakers believe, it would be a challenging fight for “Raw Dawg.”
