
Nate Diaz believes the UFC had big plans for Conor McGregor after UFC 196.
There were speculations that if Conor McGregor had beaten Nate Diaz at UFC 196, he would have called out former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre. GSP was in the crowd at a live event for the first time since his retirement in December of 2013. Nate Diaz believes that was the plan of the UFC, McGregor, and GSP all along. He shed light on the topic while he was a guest on Chael Sonnen’s You’re Welcome Podcast
“I was not doing shit, like yeah he did great going up two weight classes, but I wasn’t doing shit, I was on vacation. Like they plotted me out, they wanted me on some not ready shit, they had it all planned out. I thought about it, I figured it all out since then, they wanted me to lose and then it all blew up in their faces.” Said Diaz when asked about how things went down ahead of UFC 196.

Sonnen then asked about the rumors of Conor calling out GSP. “Yeah I heard, but I put a big old hole in that shit. What did they think, that I’m some game that they can play? I can’t be fucked with, I been in the game too long….
