
This just keeps getting worse…
It’s been a wild few weeks for fans of the UFC and mixed martial arts, thanks in no small part to the drama surrounding Conor McGregor. The UFC featherweight champion announced his retirement one week ago to the day, and from there onwards it was mayhem.
Speculation raged as to the reasons for McGregor’s shocking and sudden retirement from the sport, but it wasn’t long until more details emerged. Apparently a rift had developed between ‘The Notorious’ and the UFC when the Irishman refused to attend a press conference for UFC 200.
I have decided to retire young.

His retirement was short lived though, as later the same week McGregor claimed he was still aiming to fight at UFC 200 against Nate Diaz. The Stockton grappler/boxer had submitted the Irish star at UFC 196 following a brief but eventful feud.

Then came yesterday’s announcement from McGregor, one that made headline news all over again, but it wasn’t long before Dana White shut it down, and now it looks like Nate Diaz has heard enough…
