UFC 222 went down at the T-
UFC 222 was headlined by women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg as she took on debutant Yana Kunitskaya in the main event. Rather predictably, Cyborg dispatched of the helpless ex-Invicta champion inside one round.
With the win, Cyborg extended her streak to five in the UFC and her total record to 20-1 (1 NC). Needless to say, an all-Brazilian super fight with bantamweight boss Amanda Nunes is the logical next step for Cyborg.
Meanwhile, the co-main event was a tough one for Frankie Edgar’s fans to watch. ‘The Answer’ was finished for the first time in his career and in brutal fashion too. Surging prospect Brian Ortega literally lifted Edgar off the ground with his first round KO punch.

Nate Diaz Reacts to O’Malley Win
During the main card, former Tuesday Night Contender Series bantamweight Sean O’Malley defeated Andre Soukhamthath by decision. Although he got the win, O’Malley was left unable to walk after the conclusion of the fight.
Soukhamthath put in a great showing too, but the main reaction to the fight was that O’Malley had clearly won two rounds to Andre’s one.
Nate Diaz did not agree:
How u win if u can't walk out the cage ? Smh
— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) March 4, 2018
Perhaps it’s the fact O’Malley sport McGregor-ish tattoos and shares a similar stance and striking style to the Irishman. More than likely, though, it’s the fact both Diaz brothers do not agree with how MMA fights are scored in the modern age.
Having been on the losing end of some close decisions in the UFC themselves, that’s not very surprising. Below you’ll find the full list of UFC 222 results:
