Nate Diaz Responds To Dana White’s Accusations & He’s Not Happy

Has Dana White gone too far, again?

Having fought almost his entire career for the UFC, Nate Diaz has fought some of the best around. Although he’s won and lost his fair share, 2016 was Nate’s breakthrough year. Facing Conor McGregor in a duo of thrilling wars, Diaz finally hit superstardom.

For some fighters this never comes, but when it does the UFC rewards it. Especially in the case of McGregor and Ronda Rousey, a certain amount of favoritism can be shown. For Diaz, though, it’s unfortunately not the case.

Nate Diaz Can’t Catch a Break

After defeating McGregor with a stunning rear naked choke at UFC 196, Diaz immediately granted the Irishman a rematch. When ‘The Notorious’ won a narrow decision in their second fight, the favor was not returned.

Even though he’d evened the score, many expected McGregor to be game for the trilogy fight. Everything seemed to be working right, 1-1 was the score, and the pay-per-view numbers were insane.

The UFC was not the least bit interested.

Inactivity & Dana White’s Accusations

Since UFC 202 last August, Nate Diaz has sat out of active competition. Claiming he wouldn’t fight again for less than $20 million, Nate really drew a line in the sand, much like older brother Nick has too.

UFC president Dana White took it upon himself to claim the Diaz brothers had turned down multiple fights each. Never one to stay quiet, Nate posted a furious response to White’s comments:

There’s a bit of a trend showing here. When asked in the past, before the McGregor fights, why Nate wasn’t paid well, White said he ‘wasn’t a needle mover.’ Just what is the UFC’s problem with the Diaz brothers?
