With the madness of the UFC 196 pay-per-view still fresh in our memories, it came as a huge surprise to many when the UFC’s plans were leaked by Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com.

Perhaps coincidence, probably not, but Helwani has parted ways with UFC on FOX following the leaked announcement of UFC 200. The long time leading journalist in MMA revealed recently that Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz would rematch at the landmark event.

Diaz got one over on ‘The Notorious’ in the UFC 196 main event, coming in on jut 11 days notice to submit McGregor in the second round of their welterweight showdown. McGregor was originally meant to face the lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos on the March 5 card.

It was widely predicted that the Irish superstar would destroy Diaz given the short notice nature of the fight for Nate, but once again the Stockton native threw a spanner in the works of the UFC’s plans.

He has become a superstar overnight, and appeared on the UFC on FOX show with Kenny Florian and Michael Bisping last night. It was a great interview, but there’s one snippet that was never meant to be aired…
