After the Kansas City Chiefs won the 2024 Super Bowl, some fans were disappointed in the event, not because of the result but due to the missing UFC 300 main event announcement earlier teased in some reports.

Kansas City Chiefs managed to prevail at the Super Bowl once again after making a 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. However, the news about the matter was not the only talk making the rounds on different social media platforms: MMA pros and fans are also protesting the lack of UFC 300-related announcements at the event.

Prior to that, reports started claiming that the MMA promotion giant would finally uncover its main event bout at the 2024 Super Bowl. MMA superstar Conor McGregor even teased the possibility by posting a video of Dana White on his Instagram stories, with the phrases “UFC 300” and “Super Bowl announcements.”

After the Super Bowl, however, fans were left hanging, sending MMA fans and even the fighters to dismay.

This follows UFC CEO Dana White’s statement clarifying speculations that the main event was already announced. According to the executive, there are two more fights awaiting announcements, promising the promotion is working on it. With all this, fans would have to continue the wait for the main event bout, which unfortunately won’t feature Jon Jones, who turned down the offer.
