One Championship continues to expand globally. Aside from its return to other countries for its live bouts, the promotion company has also signed a contract with Sky Sports to allow the broadcast of its events in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The company confirmed the signing of the exclusive deal, saying it will start with its ONE Fight Night 18: Superlek vs. Mahmoudi event on January 13.

“For years, our UK fans have been clamoring for ONE to be broadcast on one of the region’s major networks,” One Championship Chairman Chatri Sityodtong said. “Today, I’m excited to announce a new partnership with Sky Sports, the premier broadcaster for live sports in the UK and one of the most well-known sports networks in the world. This deal marks an important milestone for the celebration of martial arts and the continued expansion of ONE Championship’s global footprint.”

This will allow it to compete with other MMA promotions already airing in the UK, including UFC airing on TNT Sports, PFL on DAZN, and Bellator on BBC.

The deal follows One’s agreement with Seven in Australia in March and the company’s announcement about the expansion of its events in other countries. Last month, Sityodtong shared that One would be returning to Singapore and Japan and debuting in Europe. Alongside that, the executive said that ONE 166 is now set for March 2024 in Qatar.
