Internet Phenomenon Turned MMA Fighter Charles Dion McDowell AKA Wide Neck Guy is Back in Jail… Check Out His Latest Mugshot…

You’ve definitely seen this guy on the internet. Charles McDowell is the man with the most famous neck in the world. He went viral in 2018 after getting arrested for drug possession. His mugshot went viral as netizens were in awe of his ludicrously broad neck. I mean look at it. Incredible.

McDowell then made headlines again after it was revealed that he had signed a contract with Island Fights to become an MMA fighter and compete in Florida. He has been training for a debut this year, with nothing booked as of yet. With 1.3 million followers on Instagram, his fan page shows why he was signed.

However, McDowell has messed things up again by getting arrested for the third time. Now he’s in a very different type of cage after getting arrested for drug-related offences in Pensacola, Florida. Check out his mug shot below.

Mugshot

‘Wideneck’ was arrested for being in possession of meth and cocaine with the intention of selling, distributing or delivering. Basically, he’s been dealing and when you’ve got a record like McDowell’s, that’s not a good thing at all. The post on his official fan page reads:

Poor Choices

Island Fights calls itself the biggest combat sports promotion in Florida. They host professional and amateur boxing and MMA bouts on their cards. A spokesperson for the organization said that they are still open to having McDowell fight for them, even if he’s made some poor life choices in the past. He said:

“He hasn’t made some of the best choices in life in his past so maybe something like this will be a good step in the right direction toward something positive.

Record

The man with the massive record has been arrested on drug charges before. He was released on bail of $57,000 for basically the same thing by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department in Florida. Then in Montgomery, Alabama, he was picked up by authorities for attempting to avoid a traffic stop.

Will he ever step into a cage and fight? It remains to be seen if he cleans up his act and maintains the discipline to become a legitimate mixed martial artist. Getting locked up all the time isn’t going to cut it.
