Sean Strickland is taking his UFC 297 training seriously and now boasts a set of abs. Fans pointed out the big change in “Tarzan,” with some believing these changes could help him keep the belt.

Strickland is set to defend his title against Dricus Du Plessis this weekend. The fight is one of the most-awaited bouts of the promotion, especially with the two trading barbs in the past weeks and Du Plessis including the champ’s traumatic childhood in his recent comments. Both even brawled while attending the UFC 296 as part of the audience, further fueling the beef between the two. After this, Strickland expressed his interest to “f****** kill” the challenger for his remarks.

The champ is training hard for that moment, and his hard work seems to be manifesting now in his body. In a post he shared recently, Strickland could be seen training with Bellator’s middleweight champ Johnny Eblen. The most notable detail about the matter, however, is the set of abs the UFC champ is sporting, which fans pointed out.

The fans are not the only ones to hear about the news as “Stillknocks” also acknowledged the detail. Yet, for the South African, it is not a huge deal and something to celebrate, as having such a body has always been a part of being a professional fighter. Ultimately, the challenger seems unbothered about it.

‘…I see everybody talking about Sean Strickland having muscle now,” du Plessis said earlier this month. “Well, welcome to being a professional. I’ve had it my whole career. Nice, you have abs for the first time. I’m really happy for you. But that’s what you should look like as a professional athlete. Good job. I’m really happy that I can motivate you get some abs. But it doesn’t bother me. Good luck with those abs; I’ve been fighting with mine for years.”
