Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman 2- UFC 168

When Chris Weidman defeated Anderson Silva the first time at UFC 162, many speculated he only won because Silva was clowning around in the cage at the time. Silva has often used the technique of pretending to be wobbled (usually in cartoonish fashion) in order to bait his opponent into being more aggressive. This time however, Weidman caught him while he was doing it. The result was that Weidman was the champion, but many were calling it a fluke. The rematch was scheduled for UFC 168.

Unfortunately the rematch would yield possibly the most hard to watch moment in the history of the sport. A little over a minute into the 2nd round, Weidman checked a leg kick and it broke Silva’s left tibia and fibula. Silva was left screaming on the mat as Weidman calmly walked away from him. Most assumed Silva’s historic career was over.
