1. Sylvester Stallone

In 2010 Sylvester Stallone was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. He wasn’t inducted as an active participant of course, but rather for his contribution to the sport in other ways. The Rocky movies gave the sport a boost in the mainstream, helping to popularize many of the fighters of the day.

In the 1990s he starred in action movies such as Demolition Man, Cop Land, and Judge Dredd.

Had MMA been popular when Sly was in his prime athletic years, perhaps his love of boxing would have extended to MMA.
