Rose Namajunas Needed Therapy After the Conor McGregor Bus Attack… Now She has Opened Up On Why She Hasn’t Accepted His Apology…

Rose Namajunas is one of the most popular UFC champions right now. The women’s strawweight champion last fought at UFC 223 in Brooklyn, last April when she defended her title in a rematch against Joanna Jedrzejczyk. She won by 3 rounds to 2 and sealed her spot at the top of the division.

With her distinctive shaved head and slim build, it’s no wonder fans are entranced by her almost vulnerable appearance. Don’t be fooled though: she’s got one of the best all-around games in women’s MMA and is as violent in the octagon as anybody else out there.

‘Thug Rose’ also has no time for bull****. She has finally spoken out about why she has not accepted Conor McGregor’s apology for almost smashing her with a dolly, that he threw through the window of a bus in the Barclay’s Center, Brooklyn.

Paranoia

The Colorado-native explained that the attack left her feeling paranoid, and made her seek counseling. Some people might think this is ludicrous from a professional MMA fighter, but let’s be real. She was at the tail-end of her weight-cut which messes your head up. And suddenly 20 men come and attack your bus. With all that’s going on in the world right now, it’s not that strange that she was disturbed by it. Leave ‘Thug Rose’ alone.

“I’m still trying not to leave the house too much or there will be times when I’m just like,”‘Yeah we should just go home,’ like I just have a weird feeling,” Namajunas told the MMA Hour. “I live in a very nice neighborhood, there’s nothing that really goes on around here. So, for me to be like sketch. … I’m still paranoid about everything. I have a therapist that I go see.”

Apology Not Accepted

She also expanded on why she hasn’t accepted Conor McGregor’s weak attempt at an apology… If it was even him that sent the message. According to Namajunas and her fiancee Pat Barry, neither of them got any voice message from the Irishman, nevermind any sort of face-to-face apology. Instead, he slid into her DMs.

“It said, ‘I’m sorry for what happened,’ and then it was like, but then he immediately went on to like justifying what he did and stuff like that and the reasons why he did it,” she said. “That to me was like, it really doesn’t matter. I don’t care what beef he’s got with who. That’s none of my business, I don’t need to know that information. Do you know what I mean? That doesn’t do anything for me.”

“So there was an apology and I’m a pretty cool person and I always accept apologies, but to me, I’m like a personal person, I like face to face. That’s how I like to handle things. I feel like anything can be worked out, you just gotta talk through it as adults.”

Gave Up

As you’d expect, McGregor didn’t really rise in Namajunas’s eyes after that episode. When asked what she thought about his lack of sincerity, she was emphatic in her response. She replied:

“Yeah, I said ‘f*** that. I said call Pat. I just put Pat’s phone number and said, ‘f*** that’ to whatever your message is and call him.”

Boom. The Rose has thorns. Namajunas is expected to fight again sometime this year. She has yet to be given a new opponent, but it is most likely to be Jessica Andrade. Whoever it is, ‘Thug Rose’ will give them one hell of a fight.
