3. Steven Seagal

This is not to say that he would have been good at it, but Steven Seagal would have gone into MMA had it been more financially rewarding during the 90s.

Seagal has made a career out of making straight-to-DVD type movies, but did achieve some mainstream success during the 90s.
Under Siege, Executive Decision, and Marked for Death all contain Steven Seagal showcasing what he believes to be martial arts.

Seagal is having an interesting year. In January he was granted Serbian citizenship, and has been teaching martial arts to the Serbian Special Forces. Then earlier this week he was granted Russian citizenship. Not sure what he is up to there, but let’s hope someone is filming it so one day we will find out.

Some debate exists regarding how accomplished a martial artist Seagal really is. He certainly portrays himself as an expert, but others aren’t so sure.

Anderson Silva and company may have trolled Seagal recently regarding his martial arts credentials.
