After postponing his bout to defend his belt, ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai will finally be able to fight again. With this, the bout between Tawanchai and Superbon Singha Mawynn is moved to ONE Friday Fights 46, which will be on December 22.
To recall, the fight was originally set to be included in ONE Fight Night 17 on December 8. However, due to an illness that Tawanchai’s team refused to disclose, the fight was postponed. Fortunately, ONE Championship confirmed that Tawanchai’s health is “now returning to normal.” Also, the bout is just being moved two weeks later, so fans can still watch the hot fight between the two on December 22.
Tawanchai will be fighting Superbon to defend his gold title at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The 24-year-old Thai Muay Thai fighter has a 131-31-2 professional record and currently owns a six-bout winning streak, with four of them achieved through a knockout. It is unknown if Superbon would be able to break it, but Tawanchai will certainly find this bout challenging.
Superbon is a former ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion and owns the top spot as a featherweight Muay Thai contender. The 33-year-old fighter defeated Dutch-Turkish Tayfun Ozcan in June, allowing him to make a huge comeback after losing to Chingiz Allazov in January. Prior to those fights, Superbon defeated Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, Giorgio Petrosyan, and Marat Grigorian, who are all considered legends in the kickboxing field, making him a tough opponent for Tawanchai.
