6. Frankie Edgar v Gray Maynard
One of the classic rivalries, Frankie Edgar’s first clash with Gray Maynard is one of the greatest of all time. The pair scrapped to a brutal draw, with ‘The Answer’ retaining his lightweight title. It’s all the more remarkable when you think that most people expected this to be a boring fight.
In the rematch, Edgar would get the knockout. However, this only came after he survived several knockdowns himself. Maynard brought the best out of one of the most popular fighters ever to fight in the UFC and surely their first fight will end up in the UFC Hall-of-Fame.
