Tensions were running high as fans spilled out of the arena after witnessing Khabib Nurmagomedov jump out of the cage to attack McGregor’s BJJ coach Dillon Danis at UFC 229, followed by members of ‘The Eagles’ team then punching ‘The Notorious’ in the Octagon.
There were fears that the continued bad blood between the fighters and their respective camps would spill out into the two rival groups of fans, and that’s exactly what happened.
At a concourse within the T-Mobile arena a large group of fans began taunting each other when what appeared to be a Nurmagomedov fan dressed all in black punched a McGregor supporter.
Another man dressed in all-black waded in to help, firing off a series of punches that dropped him and a brief scuffle between the two parties broke out.
The incident was quickly over, but that wasn’t to be the last flashpoint of the evening…
