6. Doo Ho Choi vs. Cub Swanson
‘The Korean Superboy’ Doo Ho Choi had a string of first-round KO finishes leading into his fight with Swanson at UFC 206 in 2016. True to form, he came out launching heavy leather, but Swanson was giving almost as good as he was getting. He then turned up the heat early in round two by buckling Choi against the cage with two powerful right hands.
Crushing blows continued to land, but Choi then countered with a huge right hook that rocked Swanson, who went into survival mode, only to then land a takedown and eventually wobble Superboy again before the end of an action-packed round. While Choi was still dangerous in the third, Swanson had the deeper gas tank and almost delivered a stunning late finish when he landed a cartwheel kick and then sent his opponent reeling to the mat with a spinning backfist. Swanson would have to settle for a unanimous decision win, yet it was a classic fight nonetheless.
