3. American Kickboxing Academy

One of the oldest MMA gyms in existence, AKA is champion-factory for mixed martial artists. You would be hard pressed to find any gym that has as impressive a top 4 as AKA does: Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez, Luke Rockhold and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Each is arguably the best fighter in the world in their division (if we pretend Jon Jones doesn’t exist).

The only man ever to knockout Nate Diaz, Josh Thomson, also trains out of AKA, as does Gray Maynard.

Many other fighters have trained with the team, but since moved on to other camps. These fighters include Miesha Tate, Andrei Arlovski, King Mo, Anthony Johnson and others.
