
6. Forrest Griffin Interviews Tito Ortiz
This was supposed to be Tito Ortiz’s retirement fight, but it turned out to just be his last fight in the UFC. Ortiz announced that win or lose it would be his last fight in the octagon, as he had dealt with chronic injuries his whole career. He also wasn’t able to win fights anymore (one good submission win over Ryan Bader aside), which probably helped make the decision easier for him.
After the fight Griffin did his second running from the cage routine, only to return a short while later and take part in the post-fight interviews. Griffin decided to do Joe Rogan’s job and interview Tito for some reason. Ortiz would later say he was upset because it tarnished his last moments in the cage. Funny thing is Ortiz continued fighting after that (in Bellator) whereas that really was the last fight of Forrest’s career, he just didn’t know it yet.
