The thieves left with 5,000 soles, about $1486 US Dollars from the cash register and wallets, phones and other belongings from the customers. Anyone who resisted was reportedly beaten, with three customers suffering injuries to the head.
The robbery and shootout was caught on CCTV cameras, which the owner of the establishment said were installed as this was the sixth such incident to take place in the restaurant.
