UFC on ESPN 52 has finally concluded, and here are some of the expected and surprising results of the event in Austin, Texas.
The event was led by Beneil Dariush and Arman Tsarukyan, who fought in a lightweight bout in the main event. It was a thrilling bout between the veteran UFC fighter and the young Tsarukyan, who is considered a rising star in the division. Unfortunately, Dariush, who recently talked about his retirement, lost against the young fighter in the event.
In the co-feature, Bobby Green faced Jalin Turner, who stepped in in place of Dan Hooker. Despite preparing for the bout on very short notice, Turner delivered an interesting fight and even won against Green.
Meanwhile, Deiveson Figueiredo made his bantamweight debut in the event and faced Rob Font. The former two-time UFC Flyweight Champion has a lot of plans in the new weight class, including fighting Dominick Cruz and Sean O’Malley in the future. Fortunately, it seems this plan is now moving forward, with his latest win against Font, whom he defeated via unanimous decision.
Other notable performances in the event include the KO wins of Drakkar Klose and Cody Brundage by slamming their respective opponents.
