Finally, some words from Hague about his fighting career, which he was clearly passionate about;
RIP Tim Hague
“This is 100 percent (the most serious I’ve taken my career),” Hague told MMAjunkie. “I’m not the guy that’s going out and putting pictures on social media drinking and partying. I’ve just got to be a better person. I spend more time now with my son than anything, and I’m just trying to put out a good message of training hard, working hard and being a good family man. That will get you places.”
“There definitely was (a rock-bottom moment),” Hague said. “I was diagnosed with depression or whatever. I’m not going to blame anything that’s happened in my career on that. I’ve battled back, and I’ve overcome it. Two months ago, I got into some trouble where I needed to really do some self-reflection and change my life. Ever since that day I’ve changed my life, and I haven’t made a single mistake. I think I’ve bounced back better than anybody really could. I’m ready to rock.”
“I’m only focused on winning this fight and whatever happens after is an afterthought,” Hague said. “I’ve done what I needed to do to get back in top shape. I look marketable again, which is a big thing to a lot of organizations. My fighting style is always exciting and I’m just – I’m back. That’s all I can say. I’m back. I’m ready to smash this kid.”
