UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is a unique individual, and his training methods are very different than anything you’ll see elsewhere….

The UFC has a new pay-per-view king in Conor McGregor, who has burst on to the scene like no other in the last three years. His rise to the top of the 145-pound ladder was completed at UFC 194, as ‘The Notorious’ knocked out Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds.

The win was made even more impressive when you consider how dominant ‘Scarface’ was before that fight. The Brazilian striker had been making mincemeat of contenders for nine years up until last December.

Aside from his stunning performances inside the UFC octagon, and his brash attitude outside of it, many people are talking about his unique training methods. All of a sudden, thanks to McGregor, movement coaches are becoming more common.

It’s certainly true that ‘The Notorious’ is a very different kind of fighter than you’ll see at any regional MMA show, or even anywhere in the big leagues. Perhaps Jon Jones is the closest comparison you could make.
