Jorge Masvidal Obviously Doesn’t Like the English… After Knocking Out Darren Till, He Decided to Take His Vendetta Against the British Even Further, by Brawling With Rising Welterweight Contender Leon Edwards Backstage…
This is surely all Michael Bisping’s fault. If ‘The Count’ hadn’t ripped up the Cuban flag while he was middleweight champion and ensured that he was never going to get a place on Jorge Masvidal’s Christmas card list, then maybe this latest crazy incident might not have happened.
Masvidal was booked to fight an Englishman last night in Liverpool’s Darren Till, in the main event of UFC London. He went in as an underdog against the former title contender and knocked him out in the second round. But beating one Brit wasn’t enough for the Miami native.
Watch the footage below of ‘Game-Bred’ get into a scrap with his fellow welterweight Leon Edwards, backstage at the O2 in London. The scenes are more than a bit crazy, and Metropolitan Police are reported to be investigating exactly what happened.

Add this to your list of best – and most random – MMA brawls. Masvidal was being interviewed after the fight, but then suddenly pulls away to exchange words with Leon Edwards, who had just beaten Gunnar Nelson in the co-main event in London.
Whatever they said to each other didn’t make each other happy, because the next thing you can see in the footage is the pair just start swinging at each other wildly. Edwards apparently suffered some cuts and bruises, while both men swiftly departed from the arena.
As Michael Bisping said afterwards: ‘Wow.’
Comment from Dana White on the Masvidal, Edwards scuffle: I can’t even believe that this happened. We(UFC) need to do a much better job of making sure this shit doesn’t happen at any of our events!!!!

Check out how some of the pros have reacted to this brawl:
Ben Askren: “Masvidal just started a fight backstage with Leon Edwards so he doesn’t have to fight me next.”
Ray Borg: “Man I Love Jorge Masvidal.”
Will Brooks: “Idk why they keep messing with that man @GamebredFighter… Just let that man be hahaha.”
Mike ‘Biggie Rhodes: “This what I be trying to tell ppl don’t Talk if you not about that action.”
Dan ‘Hangman’ Hooker: “They gone learn today.”
Anthony ‘Rocco’ Thompson: @GamebredFighter about that life and most underrated fighter in the game.
Josh Thompson: “This ain’t a game or a sport to some fighters… this is real life, this is all they know. Ask @GamebredFighter and @TeamKhabib Talking snack will one day get someone hurt.”
Saad Awad: “This is real life. There’s too many phoney’s out there that hide behind a computer or whatever and think they can say what they want without consequences @GamebredFighter is a G! I said it before and I’ll say it again.”
If this brawl happened in America, where there are athletic commissions, it’s highly likely that both men would be facing heavy fines and lengthy suspensions. However, in the UK this probably won’t be an issue. They might have to deal with the police but it’s unlikely that anything serious will happen. Masvidal can look ahead to a title shot in the near future if he keeps progressing. His manager Ali Abdelaziz said:
“We think Jorge Masvidal deserves the next title shot. Not Colby Covington. Colby is a terrible person and doesn’t deserve it. Jorge just knocked out Darren Till like that? He should be next.”
