Mike Tyson was a sensation during the 1980’s, capturing the attention of the boxing world with his raw power and knockout style. As Muhammad Ali’s boxing era came to an end, there was a brief interlude before Tyson’s arrival, and fans quickly recognized ‘Kid Dynamite’ as a red hot prospect in the early stages of his career.
Just shy of two years in to his professional career Tyson was the WBC heavyweight champion of the world, defeating Trevor Berbick with a knockout that would be replayed frequently, and up until present day.
At just 20 years and 4 months old, ‘Iron Mike’ was already a record breaker.
