6. Tito Ortiz vs. Chuck Liddell
When Tito was the light heavyweight champion he was dogged by accusations that he was avoiding a fight with Liddell. The two had briefly trained together and Tito seemed to believe this meant that they would never want to face each other, Liddell disagreed.
Chuck and Tito would not fight for the first time until after Tito had already lost his title to Couture.
Chuck knocked Ortiz out 48 seconds into the 2nd round at UFC 47, and 2 fights later he would defeat Couture to win the light heavyweight title. After Ortiz went on a winning streak he was given a title shot against Chuck scheduled for UFC 66. Ortiz vs. Liddell 2 would go pretty similar to the 1st fight, though this time the stoppage was late in the 3rd round.
A 3rd fight in the rivalry was scheduled, and the two spent a season as opposing coaches of the Ultimate Fighter. Ortiz would pull out of the 3rd fight for unknown reasons and was replaced by Rich Franklin.
