2. Nate Marquardt
Nate Marquardt was fired after failing a pre-fight drug test in 2011, and Dana White wasn’t mincing words when he did it. Dana actually said that Nate would never fight in the UFC again, which of course was not the truth.
Marquardt’s testosterone levels were too high even though he had been approved for testosterone replacement therapy. Receiving the exemption was a last minute thing for Marquardt and the testosterone injections he received close to the fight put him up over the limit. White was clearly not happy about this.
Despite telling everyone that Marquardt was gone for good, he would be back in less than 2 years. Nate is now 1W-2L since USADA drug testing came into effect.
