Ben Henderson
A former WEC champion, Ben Henderson then made his mark in the UFC by winning their lightweight title and defending it three times.
After losing the belt to Anthony Pettis, Henderson experienced mixed results with victories over Josh Thomson and Rustam Khabilov then two defeats against Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.
Henderson raised eyebrows by returning just a month later, fighting up at welterweight against Brandon Thatch. It seemed a risky move, but he proved his critics wrong by claiming a fourth-round submission victory and then defeated Jorge Masvidal by split decision in the final fight of his deal.
Henderson then took a big gamble by signing for Bellator, citing the fact that he could pursue his own sponsorship opportunities there rather than being tied to his previous employers relatively low-paying deal with Reebok.
Henderson would actually lose three of his first four fights there, including unsuccessful lightweight and welterweight title opportunities, but is currently on a four-fight winning streak and signed a new deal with Bellator late last year.
