Tarec Saffiedine

Saffiedine compiled a strong run in Strikeforce, going 8-1 overall. That culminated with him winning the welterweight title by defeating Nate Marquardt. With an overall 14-3 record, Saffiedine then was welcomed into the UFC fold. A year later he finally made his debut headlining with a win over Hyun Gyu Lim.

Saffiedine’s second fight saw him TKO’d by Rory MacDonald though. Injuries would keep him out of the Octagon for over a year afterward. Upon his return, he defeated Jake Ellenberger, but that would prove to be his last victory in the UFC. He’d go on to lose a trio of decisions against Rick Story, Dong Hyun Kim, and finally, Rafael dos Anjos in 2017. He hasn’t fought again since, despite still only being 33 at the time of writing.
