Rose Namajunas tops this list because she took out one of the most dominant champions in UFC history and then beat her again in her first title defence. One of the most well-rounded fighters in the women’s divisions, ‘Thug Rose’ defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk to become the strawweight champion. While she has since dropped the belt after getting smashed on her head, her success is still phenomenal.
It was a long time coming for Namajunas who lost the Ultimate Fighter season 12 finale to Carla Esparza, by way of a rear-naked choke. Since then she’s developed tremendously. If she sorts her demons out there’s no reason why she can’t get that belt back.
