He got knocked out by John Dodson in the finale of TUF Season 14 but would come back to go on a four-fight winning streak before getting stopped by Raphael Assuncao. Two fights later he was astonishingly the bantamweight champion after beating Renan Barao in an upset of the year. After losing the strap he won it back by knocking out nemesis Cody Garbrandt.
