Ari Emanuel

One of the people Donald Trump met with in the first days after being announced president was his former agent and so-called ‘King Of Hollywood’ Ari Emanuel, the co-owner of the WME-IMG talent agency.

Of course, while he’s also have been known to have inspired the classic TV character ‘Ari Gold’ in ‘Entourage, to MMA fans Emanuel is better known for being the UFC’s commander-in-chief, with WME-IMG (now known as Endeavor) having bought Zuffa from The Fertitta brothers just a few months earlier for a staggering $4.2 billion.

Emanuel had represented Trump during his time starring in ‘The Apprentice,’ and in 2015 he facilitated a deal to buy the rights to the Miss Universe pageant from the Trump Organization.

Emanuel then kept archives of both ‘The Apprentice’ and ‘Miss Universe’ under lock and key despite claims from the Democrats in the weeks leading up to the election that there may be potentially damaging footage for Trump contained within them.

There’s no suggestion that his meeting with Trump in the days after the election had anything to do with the UFC, but it’s clear that both Emmanuel and Dana White have close personal ties to the President.
