The news everyone has waited to hear…

After his long and drawn out battle with the NSAC last year, it looked for a while like Nick Diaz might retire. Having been handed a five-year ban by the commission, Diaz had to face a harsh reality.

Thankfully, after heaps of public pressure, the decision to ban Diaz was greatly reduced. Instead opting to bench Diaz for 18 months, the NSAC scrambled to win back some respect from the public. They failed miserably nonetheless.

Finally settling his fine with the commission this month, Diaz has a number of interesting fights to consider. UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley recently called him out, and there’s plenty of other top contenders.

At welterweight, a rematch with Robbie Lawler could prove a great return fight, possibly Donald Cerrone is in there too. Whatever the case, fans have been eagerly awaiting news on his comeback. Then, as per MikeSwick.com, this news broke:

“You want to come into this with a life and a nice wife, motherf***er I don’t have any of that. I don’t get to go home to my nice wife and nice life. You are putting all that effort into your nice wife and I’m putting 100% into what I do.” Diaz stated on the show.

“I’m going to f*** your whole world up in front of your nice wife and nice life”

Nick says Nate would’ve finished Conor had he been allowed to corner his brother

“One inch, you know what I mean, that’s the difference between how that fight could have gone. As far as I’m concerned I definitely would have been that inch.” Nick said on the Opie show.

“Come 3rd or 4th round I think if I had been there we would have put it together and got that guy out of there.”

  1. I don’t care what anyone says about nick and nate, they are a boon to the UFC and they are tough fighters! What a show they put on !

  2. He is not returning at 209. He has turned down several fights. He said he only wants big fights and he’s been offered the biggest fights possible. He turned down a title shot, a fight against McGregor, and a rematch against Lawler. He doesn’t want to fight. Proof is in your actions.

  3. YES HE IS BECAUSE HE IS FROM 209 STOCKTON WHICH HE REPS HARD (NORCAL). GREAT SYMBOLISM IF YOU HAVE COMMON SENSE. HE FIGHTS FOR SOMETHING GREATER THAN HIMSELF BECAUSE HE HAS HONOR.
