There’s a monster card ahead for mixed martial arts fans to look forward to, as UFC 200 fast approaches. July 9, 2016 is the date for the second major milestone pay-per-view, and what a card it will be.

At the top of the stacked event in Las Vegas, Nevada is the long awaited rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones. The two have shared a bitter rivalry for years now, and front the biggest card of the past five years in the second chapter of the feud.

The story behind Brock Lesnar’s UFC return is somewhat unique. The WWE superstar has not competed in MMA for five years now, and his comeback was as sudden as it was surprising.

During his first run as a fighter Lesnar won the UFC heavyweight belt after just four fights in total, three for the UFC (2-1). Hailed as the ‘baddest man on the planet’ by UFC president Dana White, it wouldn’t be long before illness and losses would halt Lesnar’s fighting career.

After crushing defeats to Alistair Overeem and Cain Velasquez, Lesnar decided to go back to the world f pro wrestling. Just like that, the man who’d taken the MMA world by storm was sent packing.

We really hadn’t heard anything from Lesnar until the UFC 200 preview aired on June 4, and now he’s going to be fighting Mark Hunt on July 9.
