Michael Chandler is not giving up on his plan to face Conor McGregor. As such, the American fighter made his new callout at the WWE RAW stage, where he called out the Irish superstar’s “candy ass.”
McGregor’s return remains unknown even if UFC CEO Dana White shared explanations on why the company continues to refuse booking him in a match. Of course, McGregor’s absence means Chandler would also have to extend his break.
“Iron” hasn’t fought since November 2022, when he lost to Dustin Poirier. After that, the fighter appeared as a coach in The Ultimate Fighter with McGregor, starting anticipations of a fight between the two. Both didn’t end up in the cage during that season, but their appearance in the show cemented the demands of a future match. To ensure this will happen, Chandler has decided to wait for “The Notorious” to return.
Unfortunately, there’s still no news on when exactly that will happen.
With this, the lightweight fighter tried to refresh the talks about the fight by making his final callout. During the WWE Monday Night RAW event at Honda Center, when he was given the mic, Chandler took the opportunity to remind Chandler of their bout.

“What’s up, Anaheim? You are now in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet,” Chandler enthusiastically yelled. “Hey, now there’s a man from Ireland who’s been making me wait way too long, and I still have got one dude on my mind. Conor McGregor, get your candy ass back to the octagon. We’ve got some unfinished business, boys. God bless. I’ll see you at the top.”
While the callout should get McGregor’s attention again, White is still seemingly uncertain of giving the former featherweight and lightweight champ a comeback fight. In a recent interview, the executive expressed his concern over the fighter’s injury and readiness, saying he has to see the fighter in full camp first. White also questioned McGregor’s priorities, noting that the fighter is “f*cking rich” and has a movie to promote. Despite that, the UFC boss denied that making deals with McGregor is never an issue.
“…Conor McGregor is a very good businessman, and Conor McGregor has always been a great partner to us,” White shared recently. “There’s never any hanging out and haggling for money or, you know, ‘You pay me more money.’ Conor McGregor has never done anything even remotely close to that. It’s the exact opposite.”
