Conan Jokes About Wanting to Fight Conor McGregor
“Anyhoo, after the UFC deal was announced, WME gave some of their clients an opportunity to purchase a small ownership stake in the UFC,” said O’Brien. “And I’m excited to announce that I was one of those clients.”UFC
As to just how much O’Brien had purchased, he did not disclose.
“Just a little bit. I think I have $40 dollars worth,” O’Brien quipped. “I said yes, so technically I own a piece of the UFC.”
O’Brien then went on to mention a list of the other investors, a list which includes Ben Affleck, Tom Brady, Mark Wahlbeg, Adam Levine, Cam Newton, LL Cool J, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Sylvester Stallone, among others.
“I want to say, I’m very honored to be a part of this group. I really am,” said O’Brien. “But I want to make something clear, okay? The main reason I bought an ownership stake in the UFC is not to just be an owner and stand in the background. I bought in because, I, Conan O’Brien, intend to fight in the Octagon.”
While O’Brien may be a master of comedy, it’s hard to imagine him being anything than a bonafide ragdoll in the cage.
