The power of social media…
Current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is not known for being a modest fellow. Since joining the UFC four years ago, ‘The Notorious’ has bashed and trashed his way to two titles so far.
For all his success in the octagon, McGregor is clearly more motivated by the monetary side of things. Perhaps that’s why his proposed boxing match with Floyd Mayweather is edging closer to reality.
Also, Conor likes cars…
Recently McGregor’s rare Lamborghini was towed away in Ireland, now it seems he has another spot of car bother. During a recent trip around England, ‘The Notorious’ reportedly went on a ‘3-day binge’ according to many news sources.
During those 72 hours of partying, McGregor wound up in Liverpool at a house party. Posting the following picture to Instagram, the Irish star was typically brash, but he may be facing legal action for the stunt:
“We Run Your Entire City”
Boldly stating he runs the city of Liverpool, McGregor was pictured standing on the bonnet of a rented Rolls Royce. Seeing the image posted on social media, the owners of the vehicle were not best pleased.
As per the Liverpool Echo:
That has angered bosses at Platinum Executive Travel – who today told the ECHO they were assessing the car, believed to be a £240,000 Rolls-Royce Wraith, for damage and considering whether to take legal action.Platinum Executive Travel spokesman said: “He is stood on the car acting like it is his own. It is not his own.”
The owner of the vehicle piped up on social media regarding the photo:
“When you own one Conor you can stand on it like Floyd until then you can lose your deposit for standing on mine.”

Diaz Fine Reduced
During the saga that was the UFC 202 press conference, McGregor and Diaz were fined and lashed by the Nevada Commission. After McGregor’s fine was greatly reduced, Diaz had his turn in front of the NSAC.
Diaz will now face just a $15K fine with 15 hours community service, far less than the original $50K and 50 hours service first handed down.
