Here we go again…
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor set the MMA world on fire last week. The Irish striker announced his sudden retirement from the sport, casting doubt over his next fight at UFC 200.
The UFC president Dana White then confirmed he was pulled from the July 9 card where he was meant to be facing Nate Diaz for the second time. McGregor had apparently refused to attend a press conference in America, and the promotion had no choice but to remove him from the line up.
After suffering his first UFC loss to Diaz at UFC 196, many believed there were other reasons for ‘The Notorious’ pulling out of his media obligations. The UFC 200 presser went ahead without McGregor present, and there was obviously not much else to talk about:
