Return to Featherweight? Maybe not

After such a thrilling fight at UFC 202 against Nate Diaz, UC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has many options. Speaking during a post-fight media scrum, ‘The Notorious’ was non-committal about returning to 145-pounds though.

“It’s hard for me to get excited about (fighting Jose Aldo next). I’m the 145-pound champion, the interim champion is a man I knocked out in 13 seconds. I’ve got things to figure out. I have big options in other sports. There’s many things in the pipeline, so sit tight.”

Heavyweight?!?

Few people expected Conor McGregor to straight away avoid going back to featherweight, but talking about fighting a heavyweight next is insane. Here’s what ‘The Notorious’ posted to Instagram after the fight with Diaz:

“Great fight, much respect, I’ll take a heavyweight next.”
