In case you missed it, UFC 202 was all kinds of awesome. The main event rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz highlighted the exciting pay-per-view card from Las Vegas.
There was a lot at stake for both men in the main event. Diaz had submitted McGregor at UFC 196 in a crazy upset and the Irishman wanted revenge. The UFC featherweight belt was put on hold for this exciting rematch.
How it went down
Diaz vs. McGregor 2 was a bloody war. From the opening round it was obvious the Irish star had a solid game plan. Diaz looked similar to the last fight, which would eventually prove to be his undoing.
McGregor picked his shots well, and the low kicks were a big part of his offensive striking. The Irish star got his revenge in the form of a majority decision. One judge scored the bout even.
What’s next?
Nate Diaz stated he wouldn’t be fighting again until the third bout with Conor McGregor. UFC president Dana White said that wouldn’t be happening immediately. What about McGregor then? Surely it’s back to featherweight to defend his title?
Maybe not…
