Damn, Derrick Lewis is one cold dude…
After quite an entertaining rivalry, Derrick Lewis and Travis Browne squared off at UFC Halifax. Building quite a following during his current six-fight win streak, Lewis is proving to be a force in the heavyweight division.
Although Travis Browne’s career has sank since joining coach Edmond, he is still a solid test at heavyweight. Making the most of his opportunity in round two, ‘Black Beast’ dispatched ‘Hapa’ with a brutal flurry of punches.
Lewis Blasts Browne
After finishing his fifth opponent in six wins, Derrick Lewis took to the microphone with a crazy interview. Asking where ‘Ronda’s fine ass at?’ Lewis was only showing the tip of his trolling iceberg.
Here’s what he said about Rousey, followed by Lewis’ social media onslaught:
Lewis Trolls Hard
“I had a bigger heart than him. He calls himself a man but he likes to put his hands on women, so forget that guy. I have much more heart than he has. Where Ronda Rousey’s fine ass at?”
Immediately after the event, Lewis started playing games on social media. Particularly hilarious is a video Lewis shared mocking not only Travis Browne, but his infamously terrible coach Edmond Tarverdyan.
Now that was funny. Interestingly, the UFC edited out Lewis’ comments about Ronda Rousey from the post-fight interview. Continuing to mock Browne, ‘Black Beast’ shared the following image to his Instagram account:
Moving on from this event, Lewis now holds the longest active winning streak in the UFC heavyweight division. Among the top five are some potentially fun fights, and perhaps a title fight with another victory, only time will tell.
