UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor speaks out, again…
The madness surrounding the UFC featherweight champ Conor McGregor is seemingly never ending. In the last two weeks alone, he’s made top headline news and been the subject of more social media shares and articles than most fighters would receive in a lifetime.
It all started when ‘The Notorious’ suddenly announced his retirement recently. Then, quickly taking it back, McGregor revealed he was simply frustrated with the situation the promotion had placed him in.
In no time his scheduled UFC 200 bout with Nate Diaz had fallen apart, and McGregor lost the chance to avenge the submission loss to Nate at UFC 196. All because he didn’t want to attend a press conference in California.
The Irish boxer argued that he had made more money for the UFC than most fighters would hope to in their entire career. The UFC and Dana White stuck to their guns though, pulling McGregor out of the massive pay-per-view event.
