This is madness….
The UFC took a massive hit yesterday, as their featherweight champion and pay-per-view champion Conor McGregor announced his retirement. The mixed martial arts community was shocked by the sudden exit of McGregor from the sport, and its since been confirmed that it’s no hoax.
So what’s happening? One minute he was scheduled to rematch Nate Diaz, and then he just decides he’s had enough of fighting?

‘The Notorious’ suffered a tough loss at UFC 196 at the hands of Diaz, but word from his camp was the Irishman was eager for the rematch. Here was is Tweet that led to the chaos yesterday:
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.
Catch ya’s later.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) 19 April 2016
So without defending the featherweight title he’don from Jose Aldo at UFC 200, McGregor calls it quits, but surely there’s more to the story. We are yet to hear any real explanation from anyone involved, until today that is.
