When it as revealed that Brock Lesnar had failed two drug tests before and after UFC 200, fans and fellow fighters reacted with outrage. The whole messy situation was made worse by the controversial four-month waiver Lesnar had received.

USADA (United States Anti Doping Agency) referenced one of their clauses to allow Lesnar a pass from the standard procedures of their new testing regime. This last-minute decision has certainly blown up in everyone’s faces.

What’s made this saga even more despicable is that Mark Hunt has revealed the UFC isn’t doing anything about it. He even went as far as claiming the promotion ‘might have known’ about Lesnar’s performance enhancing drug use before they fought.

‘The Super Samoan’ went all out in an interview with Ariel Helwani last night, and his furious rant has reached nearly a million people over night. You can watch his full tirade on the Youtube player below:

Hunt’s frustrations are understandable to say the least. What if he had been badly injured against the WWE superstar, or God forbid worse? It’s a discussion that’s been had many times in the past, but fans were led to believe the cheating would stop with the stricter drug testing policies.

As it turns out the cheating and steroid abuse is still rife, it’s just different because now we are learning exactly who is using PED’s. We are no longer in the dark on this shady subject, but the results aren’t exactly ushering the MMA word in to the bright light.

Mark Hunt was controlled by Brock Lesnar at UFC 200, but outrage has sparked among the MMA community in the time since…

In a sport as dangerous as mixed martial arts, surely a lifetime ban might be more appropriate for steroid abusers? A mandatory two-year suspension is currently the most commonly used punishment by USADA.

The UFC recently confirmed they would not fine Brock Lesnar or Jon Jones for their recent failed drug tests.
