Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko is set to return his MMA comeback at his own homecountry, Russia. Bellator CEO, Scott Coker just announced that Fedor will make his comeback in October, as for his opponent it is yet to be announced.

Fedor is considered by many as one of the greatest mixed martial of all time, mainly because of his long reign. In his prime, he was simply too good. The only problem is Fedor’s career is he never fought under the UFC brand, so many forget how good Fedor was in his prime.

It was unknown but during his run, fans wanted to see Fedor vs Couture in a cross promotion or even Fedor vs Lesnar. It would have been a massive fight for the MMA community, sadly the UFC and Fedor’s team never closed a deal. So it was a fantasy fight that fans never got to see.

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum was the guy that ended Fedor’s long reign. After that, it was the beginning of the end for Fedor’s prime years. He still has that fast hands that could knock out his opponents, but he was just shell of his former self. Many suggested that he should retire as he has nothing left to prove.

In his name alone, he could make money especially in his home country, Russia. Fedor may just love the sport too much that it is hard to leave the sport, this is usually the case for most fighters that are on a decline due to Father time.

The question is who should Fedor fight for his comeback. He hasn’t fought for quite a while and his last opponent was an out of shape Rampage Jackson that some thought just took a dive.
