Gervonta “The Tank” Davis’s power is real, and not only works on smaller guys, but he just stopped the bigger Mario Barrios. The fight was pretty close before Davis scored the knockdown, and Barrios also gave a bit of trouble against Davis.

The shocking thing was Davis’s knockout power. Even though he was the smaller guy, he still looked like the guy with the power advantage. He was already known to be a knockout power, but many thought that his power would diminish a bit when facing the bigger guys, but it was not the case. They say that power cannot be taught, it is something that the person in born with which might be the case with someone who hits as hard as Davis.

The unofficial scorecards gave Barrios ahead up until the seventh round. Floyd Mayweather even told Davis that information and to prove why he is a true champion. Davis then boxed even better, scored a knockdown on the 8th with a lunging right hook. It was really fast, that Barrios did not even see it coming.

After scoring a knockdown, Davis tried to go for the finish. He then landed another knockdown but Barrios is as tough as they come. He went on to survive and even threw punches.

Barrios then landed a great combo that made Davis more cautious. It may be also be Davis gave a lot trying to find the finish that in the next round, he need to stall a bit to regain his energy.

It was until the 11th round that Davis scored a viscous body shot that put Barrios down. Although Barrios managed to get up, he was already out of the fight. Davis landed more punches that the referee was forced to step in and stop the fight. It was a great fight overall and showcased Tank’s power.
