7. Gerard Gordeau
You might remember Gerard Gordeau as the guy who kicked Teila Tuli’s tooth out in the very first UFC bout on PPV.
There were supposed to be no referee stoppages at the time, but the ref just kind of stopped this fight anyway. Nobody really knew what to expect in this tournament, but when Gordeau kicked the big sumo wrestler in the face we knew whatever this was, it was violent.
Gordeau defeated Kevin Rosier in the next round when his corner stopped the fight at the 1 minute mark. Next up was Royce Gracie however, who made him tap in under 2 minutes.
Gordeau would only fight once more in his career, losing to Yuki Nakai at a Vale Tudo Japan show in 1995. He owns a dojo in Holland, and was a pro wrestler in Japan for many years.
