1. Mark Kerr – PRIDE 27

“the Smashing Machine” Mark Kerr, is one of the grandfathers of ground-and-pound. He, along with Mark Coleman and Dan Severn, revolutionized how amateur wrestlers could transition to MMA.

Kerr could have done better here however. It took all of 40 seconds for him to knock himself out at PRIDE 27. It was the 3rd loss in a row for Kerr, and he’d lose his next 2 as well. Following this bout, Kerr’s MMA record would be 2-7, until he retired in 2009.
