3. Mark Coleman

Mark Coleman wasn’t quite the same when he returned to the UFC in 2009. He had spent years fighting in Japan for Pride. Coleman was the 2nd last challenger to Fedor before Pride died, having lost to the champ at Pride 32. The promotion would only make it until Pride 34.

When Coleman returned to the USA after having fought abroad for a decade, he looked smaller than he ever had in his career. That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing however, as his achilles heel had always been that he’d gas easy because of all that muscle.

Coleman went 1-2 to close out his MMA career in the UFC. He lost to Shogun, beat Stephan Bonnar, and then lost to Randy Couture.
